Substitute rates vary by position.
Classified substitutes have the ability to search available jobs through an app. Those employees who are approved as classified substitutes will be able to view/accept jobs for the following positions:
Cleaner
Custodian
Paraprofessional (Special Needs Aide)
Library Aide
Clinic Aide
Secretary
Lunch/Recess Aide
Cook
Kitchen Staff
Bus Drivers*
*The following is required for anyone interested in being a substitute bus driver:
- Valid driver's license for at least five (5) years; clean abstract; criminal check; and drug test
- Completion of satisfactory pre-employment driver's training program; basic and advanced bus driver's education program; bus driver's certificate; valid CDL
- High school graduate or equivalent
